I am a Hong Kong citizen and my interest is taking photos. I am especially interested in natural photography such as landscape, insects and birds photography.
Though Hong Kong is a highly urbanized city, I can still have plenty of opportunities to visit the countryside to enjoy the natural environment.
Particularly, Hong Kong is a very good place to watch birds. Mai Po and Tai Po Kau are the two places that most of the Hong Kong or foreign birds watchers visit every spring or autumn to watch the passage of shorebirds.
In addition, there are over 108 types of dragonflies found in Hong Kong. Some species like Marcomidia Ellenae 黃點大蜻 and Rhipidolestes Janetae 展翅山蟌 are only found in Hong Kong.
I am very interested to record the beautifully natural parts of the world using my camera. Most of the time I finish my photo work in Hong Kong. I will also take chance to travel outside Hong Kong to broaden my view and photos database.

I started my photography interest when I was studying in the secondary school. Thanks to my father who gave me the first camera at that time. Year after year, I had gained no improvement in my photography technique. It may be due to my lack of intention and feeling to improve my skills in taking photos.
I started enhancing my photography skills since I had traveled to a foreign country where the scene attracted me very much. Then I had read many books, which taught me how to improve my nature photography techniques. When applying the skills in my living places, Hong Kong, I was amazed that it is also a good place to take natural photos even though it is a highly urbanized city. Especially, I can enjoy myself in landscape, insects and birds photography in Mai Po, Tai Po Kau and many trailing paths. Now, I am still continuing to improve my skills, particularly when I am in fieldwork.

感謝父親在初中時送給我第一部相機，從那時起便開始學習攝影。但輾轉多年，攝影技術還是毫無進步；其實自己一直沒有特定攝影主題和感受，亦沒有進深改善自己的攝影技巧。
多年前往外地旅行時，被當地風光吸引。從那時起，就不斷參考不少風光及自然生態攝影書籍，深信自己也可以拍攝出一些令自己滿意的大自然風景照片。意想不到的，是原來素有「彈丸之地」之稱的香港，也可以有很多自然生態攝影題材和機會，當中包括昆蟲、雀鳥、花朵、自然景觀等。 現在，我不時進深鑽研自己的攝影技術。
當然少不了到戶外實踐，引證一下自己的攝影技術水平，和拍攝更多大自然美景。 希望日後可以將更多自然生態照片，送給喜愛大自然的朋友。有興趣的話，可給我一個電郵，賜教賜教吧。
